Description
This speculum can be used when performing a buccotomy, as it does not sit in front of the cheek and, therefore, does not obstruct access.
The incisor plates can be moved sideways in both directions, which can improve your angle on the teeth during a buccotomy.
When extracting teeth in young horses, this speculum can also be very helpful. If the tooth is too long to be pulled out due to the opposite dental arcade, moving the incisor plates—and thereby the arcades—can provide the extra space needed for extraction.
